Nigeria Team “Elite Class” Won the 2019 Global Challenge
This year, 1,239 SGS employees from 14 countries and corporate functions have participated in a 100-day journey around the world with the Global Challenge.

Creating Value for Participants
This initiative aims at increasing participants' wellbeing. Through the online platform or using a dedicated App, participants can check their levels of activity, learn more about healthy eating habits, sleep or stress management.
- Together we achieved 1,842,920,910 steps and 1,179,469 km - the equivalent to 29.4 times around the globe
- 83% of the participants exceeded 10,000 steps per day
- Total reported weight loss: 823 kg
- 69% of participants are feeling less stressed

Creating Value for Society
The Elite Class was awarded a CHF500- donation to an NGO of their choice as winners at mid-Challenge and another donation at the end as the winning team.
They chose Nazarene's feet, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of rural people challenged by poverty and deprivation, and Mercy Foundation, dedicated to helping homeless orphans and widows.
